There is no doubt it works. However, the reality it is not addressing the underlying cause of acne. Only the symptoms. And the bad news is some of the side effects don't show up for years (such as arthritis or hair loss).

Don't you think its a better idea to appreciate the message acne is sending you? And rather then cover it over with drugs, actually fix the underlying cause?

I am on my fifth month of accutane and have seen improvement on my skin. The major side effect for me is the skin tone. Though I wear a sunscreen everyday I get two toned I have dark patches on my face. Some days I am dark, some days I am my usual colour. It really helps with acne though because I had bad breakouts that really dealt with my self esteem

No doubt it can work. But at what cost? And is it really correcting the internal cause of acne. No it is not. Its damaging the body (that's why it has such a powerful effect). You'll have to decide if the long-term damage to your body is worth it. Me, hell no. It's not worth it. Acne is only an external sign to an internal problem. Covering up the symptoms with drugs is not fixing that problem.

i am currently using accutane and am on my third month. i have seen significant results in my skin. my pores have shrank and my skin is smoother. acne is basically gone. i have two friends that took the medicine a few years ago and their skin was worse than mine started out to be. its been years and their skin looks like porcelain still. i believe this is an amazing drug for people who have severe acne, not just for someone with a few breakouts because of the symptoms and side effects. it is also very expensive but very worth it
..just a little feedback
