Differin Side Effects

Differin side effects are similar to Accutane in many regards. And here’s why…
Differin’s chemical name is Adapalene. It’s a retinoid derivative (just like Accutane). They come from the same chemical family. And that’s why they share many of the same side effects.
Such as…
- Redness
- erythema
- Itching
- Drying
- Peeling
- Stinging
- Increased sensitivity of the skin to burning
Nursing mothers are advised against taking the drug because it is not yet known whether it ends up in the mothers milk.
Children below the age of 12 are also advised against Differin gel or cream because the safety in use for children has yet to be established.
Also, if you’re thinking about getting pregnant anytime soon then avoid Differin gel. The side effects of other retinoid derivatives have been horrific birth defects and the safety of differin gel has not yet been proven. These possible Differin side effects have not yet been ruled out. So error on the side of caution.
